Self Portraits: I’m not a big self portrait kind of artist, I think that I have a lot more interesting things to look at and work into a painting. The black & white drawing was a gift to my then new boyfriend, it’s stuck around through our over 4-decades worth of a relationship. I recently did this watercolor, No 41, as close to a self portrait as I’m going to get, because I loved the reflections and colors of what I saw in my entry hall mirror—a reflection of the scene out the front door of my house.
