Every summer, Salmagundi Club holds its Annual Open exhibition duo: the only exhibitions of the year in which the Club presents the exclusive opportunity for artists beyond our membership to exhibit in one of NYC’s oldest art club. For our 47th iteration, our Photography portion is an artistic collaboration between the photographer and the world around them.

Whether it is in nature or within an urban environment, photographers find order and structure in the chaos of life and frames it in a way that we may have not seen otherwise. The face and body is another landscape worth traversing, as photographers present stories told quietly through a simple gaze or posture. Here, the camera becomes a tool for making sense of the world around us and remembering what we we learn.
