Salmagundi collection welcomes donations of works created by past and present member artists and works that may have had a direct impact on the founders of the club.
Salmagundi Club is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent of the law.
Any donations of works may be sold at auction or may be turned down due to tight storage requirements. While it is possible to donate with the stipulation that the work may not be sold, we are less able to accommodate these types of bequests due to limited storage requirements.
Works by past and present members are given first priority for accession in to the collection.

Salmagundi maintains a small all-volunteer team that cares for the works within the collection. Therefore, we ask that requests for scholarship or information be submitted via email to curator@salmagundi.org and the chair of the curator’s committee will answer all emails soonest. Please allow up to one week for answers.
The club’s storage is not opened to visitors.
Credentialed scholars may request to see a work that is currently not of view through special appointment.

All image rights are copyright of the artist unless they have passed more than 75 years ago. We are unable to grant rights for any works of our living members without their express permission. Works from artists who past less than 75 years can be granted for works owned within our collection.
Not all of the works have been recorded with high resolution images. A request can be placed for the team to photograph the work but may require a photography fee of $100. Multiple requests for images of many works may be prioritized and not completely filled.

Currently, the club is working to place digital versions of their permeant art collection online for public view. The process is ongoing and we are happy to have you check back often to view our latest efforts.
We will be launching new online exclusive exhibitions late 2021.
