Over the years, the Salmagundi Club has been well-known for providing its artist members with important exhibition opportunities. The Annual members’ exhibition showcases its club members’ finest works of art in all media – oil, watercolor, pastel, graphics, sculpture, photography and mixed media. Our illustrious membership includes both nationally-recognized award winners as well as emerging talent.

Previous to leading NYAE, he has worked in galleries, professional arts organizations, academic institutions and media enterprises including VP of Education, Institute of Classical Architecture & Art; Associate Director of Fine Art, The National Arts Club; Curator, Portraits, Inc.; Dean, The New York Academy of Art and Editor-in Chief and Content Strategist, Artists Magazine. Mr. Gormley is a Patron Member of Salmagundi, and also maintains an studio art practice.

We have a new award this year for our 138th Annual member’s exhibition, the Sharon Way-Howard First Woman Art Committee Chair award, honoring Salmagundi artist member and first female Art Committee Chair, Sharon Way-Howard.
During the reception’s award ceremony, this award will be given to a winning female artist for a work of any medium type, as we reflect on Sharon’s contributions to Salmagundi and her legacy.
