Impressionist-style painting of people reading outdoors; text invites to a "Summer Invitational" art exhibit from May 20 to June 6.

Salmagundi is an elaborate dish, presenting a colorful grand display of diverse parts and dressings on a single plate. Reflective of our club name, Salmagundi Club’s Summer Invitational takes its cue from the “mixed bag” characteristics of real life, presenting a platter of visual flavors in the form of art.

Taking place annually; this exhibition is a seasonal checkpoint of what the artists in our community are seeing, feeling, and exploring as the world around us comes back to life during the warmer season. The focus is to display not only the wide range of artistic techniques, but also to spotlight each artist’s own personal expressions and unique aesthetic vision. This is a collection of both our members’ ventures into experimental work and what they feel best represents their body of work.

In the spirit of a time of rejuvenation and adventure, our artist members look inward as each artwork serves as a summer playground for risk-taking and unfiltered experimentation. Together, the works build a collective landscape of our own inner worlds, the external world around us, and the growth we experience in both.
