Salmagundi Club is home to the oldest continuous art auction in New York, held each spring and fall since the late 1870’s. In the past, the historic auctions, along with pledges from patron members, brought in enough money to purchase the beautiful building that the Salmagundi Club calls home today. The auctions are and always have been an integral part of the club as a fundraising effort.
This year, the live auction, held in Salmagundi’s skylight gallery, will be divided into two evenings: a session on Thursday, October 15 and another on Thursday, October 22, both at 7:30 PM (must be RSVP-ed separately). Come see an early sneak peak of what’s in store by viewing a preview exhibit of the auction works at our physical location beginning Tuesday, October 6. The preview will be available to see in the Club building for the entire duration of the exhibition until the final auction.
Those who cannot be there in-person will have the option of registering their bids via the online LiveAuctioneers platform.

A 15 percent buyer’s premium will be applied to all purchases.
